Whirlpool Corporation
Research & Development Center
Needing to renovate and expand the existing Technology Center in St. Joseph, Michigan, Whirlpool's management team naturally brought Partners Development to Michigan to undertake the task. The facility had highly specialized needs for use by the engineering and research/development teams, including a small appliance "model" department (where prototypes are designed and built) and a "life test" department (where new models are tested for endurance, functionality and safety). Although developed on a lean budget, the facility has drawn praise from the executive team at Whirlpool for its attractive appearance, yet utilitarian quality. It has also been called one of the most technologically advanced research and development facilities in the world
